Police in India have saved a 3-year-old girl from imminent death at the hands of her own relatives, as they planned to “sacrifice” the toddler after getting the green light from her parents, local media reports.
The chilling incident took place in the Ganakpara village of Udalguri district on Saturday. Police arrived at the scene after they were alerted by villagers who spotted smoke billowing from the house of a local science teacher, identified as Jadab Saharia.

A spokeswoman for Eventbrite, a popular ticketing website hosting the festival, said the event will be removed if the terms aren’t changed.
“Our mission is to bring the world together through live experiences. We strive to provide a platform that enables people to gather for their chosen purpose, and that reflects diverse viewpoints, so long as they don’t violate our Terms,” the spokeswoman told the Daily Caller News Foundation in an emailed statement.
“We do not permit events that require attendees to pay different prices based on their protected characteristics such as race or ethnicity. In this case, we have notified the creator of the event about this violation and requested that they alter their event accordingly,” the spokeswoman added. “We have offered them the opportunity to do this on their own accord; should they not wish to comply we will unpublish the event completely from our site.”
Detroit-based rapper Jillian Graham, who goes by the stage name Tiny Jag, withdrew from the event on account of the race-based prices.
“Tiny Jag wants everyone to understand the effort to black empowerment is a mutual goal but not at the expense of morale,” a spokeswoman for the rapper told the DCNF.
“I was immediately enraged just because I am biracial,” Graham told the Detroit Metro Times on Thursday.
“I have family members that would have, under those circumstances, been subjected to something that I would not ever want them to be in … especially not because of anything that I have going on,” said Graham, who performed at last year’s event.
Event organizers didn’t return an email seeking comment.
Organizers posted an explanation for the race-based pricing on the event website, stating that “equality means treating everyone the same,” while “equity is insuring everyone has what they need to be successful.”
“Our ticket structure was built to insure that the most marginalized communities (people of color) are provided with an equitable chance at enjoying events in their own community (black Detroit),” the organizers state.
“We’ve seen too many times orgasmic events happening in Detroit and other POC populated cities and what consistently happens is people outside of the community benefiting most from affordable ticket prices because of their proximity to wealth,” they added.
“This cycle disproportionately displaces black and brown people from enjoying entertainment in their own communities.”
The festival is scheduled to take place early next month.

Salvini to Amend Law to Confiscate Ships from Migrant Transport NGOs
Populist Italian interior minister Matteo Salvini is said to be reworking the security and migration decree to allow the government to confiscate ships flying under the Italian flag.
The new proposal comes as Italian migrant transport NGO Mediterranea Saving Humans announced it would be putting another vessel to sea following the confiscation of the Mare Jonio in May.
According to a report from Italian newspaper Il Giornale, Salvini directed those working on the security decree to “prepare every useful measure to prevent what happened in the last few weeks from being repeated”.
The statement is a clear reference to the situation regarding the NGO Sea-Watch and the activities of Sea Watch-3 Captain Carola Rackete, who stormed her way through the Italian territorial water blockade and rammed a patrol boat in order to land migrants against the wishes of Italian authorities.
The amendment would be to Article 2 of the decree which currently only applies to ships flying the flags of other countries, as those with Italian flags have full rights to enter Italian territory.
The new law would, therefore, extend the confiscation of vessels facilitating illegal migration to those flying the Italian flag, as well.
Many on the Italian left have not only criticised the security decree but have vowed to oppose it.
According to members of the national-conservative Brothers of Italy (FdI), Tuscany governor Enrico Rossi has passed a new law to circumvent the decree by giving migrants 600 to 1,000 euros a month.
The two FdI members slammed Rossi, saying: “Not only does he disobey the law, but he does so using public money. In this way, Tuscany and the regions that will do the same will become the free port for all illegal immigrants in Italy.”
According to local councillor Serena Spinelli, the new laws plan to counteract Salvini’s security decree which abolished the so-called humanitarian residency permit.
“The Tuscan law reaffirms instead that there are services necessary to ensure respect for fundamental rights, recognised to every person on the basis of the constitution and international standards,” Spinelli insisted.

George Conway, the conservative attorney married to senior presidential counselor Kellyanne Conway, tweeted out a series of links that tie Donald Trump to accused child trafficker Jeffrey Epstein following the millionaire’s arrest.
Epstein was taken into custody late Saturday night for allegedly sex trafficking dozens of minors in New York and Florida between 2002 and 2005 and is expected to appear in court in New York on Monday.
In a series of tweets Conway noted multiple connections between Epstein and Trump, including testimony given by the arrested millionaire where he pleaded the Fifth Amendment when asked if he had ever “socialized with Donald Trump in the presence of females under the age of 18.”

Netanyahu Compares Iran's Uranium Enrichment 'Small Step' With Nazis' March Into Rhineland in 1936
Tehran announced Sunday that its uranium enrichment levels would soon surpass limits set in the 2015 nuclear deal, and said that Iran would continue to reduce its commitments to the nuclear deal every 60 days until the deal's other signatories meet their commitments.
Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has blasted Iran's decision to raise uranium enrichment levels beyond the 3.67 per cent limit outlined in the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA), saying the only possible reason for such an action is the creation of a nuclear bomb, The Jerusalem Post has reported.
Commenting on a report in US media about Iran's uranium enrichment decision on Sunday, Netanyahu said the report seemed to suggest that the move was "not terrible, because it is just a 'small step'."
This sort of thinking is a "mistake," Netanyahu said, noting that the Second World War began "when Nazi Germany took one small step – to enter the Rhineland [in 1936]. A small step. No one said anything and no one did anything. The next step was the Anschluss [the annexation of Austria in 1938] and the next step was entering the Sudetenland in Czechoslovakia [in 1938]. And the rest is known."
Alleging that the enriched uranium could be used "for only one thing – to prepare nuclear weapons," Netanyahu appealed to his "friends, the heads of France, Britain and Germany," telling them "you signed this agreement, and you said that once they take this step, there will be harsh sanctions. That was the decision of the Security Council."
Netanyahu called on the European powers to "take the actions you promised to take" and to impose "snapback sanctions" against Iran.

For example, the first US atomic bomb dropped on Japan had a uranium-235 concentration of 80 per cent.
Later Sunday, Iranian President Hassan Rouhani said Iran's actions were aimed at saving the nuclear deal, "because we believe that if we don't do anything, the deal will be lost."
Last week, after Iran announced that its stockpile of enriched uranium would soon grow beyond the 300 kg limit set by the JCPOA, Israeli Foreign Minister Israel Katz accused Tehran of veering toward war and pledged that Tel Aviv would not allow Iran to obtain nuclear weapons under any circumstances, "even if it has to act alone on that."

Devin Nunes, claimed that federal authorities did not fully disclose their reliance on an unverified dossier compiled by Christopher Steele, which was part of opposition research for Hillary Clinton’s campaign.
Democrats dispute the notion that anything improper took place. New Study Shows Potentially Dangerous Effects of Abortion Drugs
Analysis found negative behavioral impact of mifepristone and misoprostol on lab rats
A new study found a number of potentially harmful side effects linked to chemically induced abortions, the most common non-surgical method used in the United States.
A team of behavioral neuroscientists at the Franciscan University of Steubenville released the findings of a three-year study that found biological, physiological, and behavioral changes among rats who received mifepristone and misoprostol. The study found decreases in the appetite, exploratory movement, and self-care of lab rats which ingested the abortion drugs. The neuroscientists also found a decrease in vaginal impedance, which may reflect a reduced ability to conceive, similar to that seen with the aging process. The study is published in Frontiers in Neuroscience, a multidisciplinary, international journal led by Idan Segev of the Hebrew University of Jerusalem.
Dr. Stephen Sammut, a professor of psychology at Franciscan University and leader of the study, told the Washington Free Beacon that while most people assume patterns of depression in abortion patients are a result of societial pressure, his study could provide a physiological link. However, he noted that further research and analysis is needed.
"The findings of this study are an important step forward in shedding some light into what happens following a chemically induced abortion and also raise more questions," he said. "For example, we need to understand better what is going on in the brain as a result of the pregnancy termination that could have led to the negative behaviors we observed."
The rats were given mifepristone and misoprostol—two common abortion drugs that are taken orally in the first 10 weeks of pregnancy. Mifepristone blocks progesterone, a hormone that helps maintain the pregnancy. Misoprostol stimulates the uterus, which causes bleeding and eventually aborts the baby.
Critics of animal testing note that the studies don’t always accurately reflect effects on humans. Sammut says his team’s methods were conducted in accordance with the Guide for the Care and Use of Laboratory Animals published by the National Institutes of Health, and was approved by the Franciscan University Institutional Animal Care and Use Committee.
"While animals are different from humans, there is a lot in our physiology—including brain physiology—and behavior that is similar," he said. "As a result, animal models provide us with a possibility to investigate the physiological basis to human behavior in a very controlled environment."
Earlier this year, the Food and Drug Administration ordered Aid Acess—a European company that sells similar abortion pills online—to refrain from doing business in the U.S. due to their selling of new, unapproved drugs.
Aid Access did not respond for comment regarding the study's potential impact on their business.
Sammut says he hopes his work will help focus the abortion debate on science, rather than partisanship.
"The role of the scientist is to, objectively and independently from ideology, conduct the investigation and provide the necessary information to allow appropriate evidence-based decisions," he said. "The scientific method cannot be ideologically driven, but only driven by the desire to seek and understand the truth."

New York Activists File Formal Complaint With Police Demanding Hillary Clinton's Arrest
The former first lady has been a target among opponents for her numerous suspected crimes including alleged pay-to-play machinations during her tenure as secretary of state, and controversy over her use of a private email server during her time in office.
Activists from Equal Justice Tour, a religious political action group petitioning to have Hillary Clinton "be held accountable" for her alleged "wrongdoing at the Clinton Foundation, Benghazi, Haiti, Email Destruction and Uranium One," have filed a formal complaint with the New Castle Police Department in Chappaqua, New York State, where Clinton has a residence.
On Saturday, the activists live-streamed a video on Facebook showing members of the group walking into the police station and handing over notarized copies of the complaint to an officer. The officer said he would forward the document to his superiors.
"Some of us are veterans, and we swore to defend the Constitution from domestic enemies," one of the activists said, noting that as a public servant, Clinton "should be held accountable, so now we're looking to hold her accountable."
Activists also sought to forward a copy of the complaint to the Secret Service, but the officer said this wasn't possible, as the Secret Service doesn't accept any type of paperwork or packages.
The group had previously claimed that since Clinton's private server was reportedly based at her Chappaqua home, authorities there were responsible for arresting her. The group's activists have staged multiple campaigns including protests and internet petitions encouraging President Trump to arrest the former presidential candidate in the past.
During a debate and on the campaign trail in 2016, Trump threatened to put Clinton "in jail" if he was elected.
Clinton's decision to use a private email server during her tenure as President Obama's Secretary of State between 2009 and 2013 has led to questions about why she chose not to use a traditional 'state.gov' email system. In 2017, documents turned over to Judicial Watch by the State Department revealed examples of what appeared to be 'pay-to-play' politics, where the secretary of state would receive donations to the Clinton Foundations seemingly in exchange for things like government appointments, policy positions, and government contracts.

Maxwell’s £12-million yacht, Lady Ghislaine, was purchased from one of Khashoggi’s brothers. As we will see, Maxwell himself was a significant player in the Iran-Contra affair on behalf of Israel’s Mossad and, to some extent, the Soviet Union.
